Hello, and welcome to my site! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the state of Maryland, Virginia, and in the District of Columbia. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2012 and my Master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2015. I have experience working in a variety of healthcare and outpatient psychiatric settings providing mental health and case management services to adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, families, and older adults.
In my free time I enjoy caring for my two cats, exploring Baltimore City, trying to keep my houseplants alive, fishkeeping, attending live comedy and theater, and trying out new vegetarian recipes.
My interest is in working with individuals experiencing anxiety (especially health related anxiety), depression, OCD, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, self-esteem and body image issues, gender identity and LGBTQIA+ issues, women's mental health issues, and career/life transitions.
I am also experienced in working with adults who were raised by emotional immature parents.
Please see the tab titled "Treatment Modalities" to learn more about the different types of evidence based psychotherapy that I offer.
I utilize various counseling theories and techniques based on an individual's needs. I take a humanistic approach to counseling and emphasize self-understanding, positive self-regard and self- worth.
